The Urban League of Lexington

Since our founding over 50 years ago, Ball Homes has made it a priority for our company to support various charitable causes. We actively and enthusiastically partner with organizations that work to improve the quality of life in the communities where we live and work.

We would like to share information about some fo the non-profit organizations that have impressed us with their commitment to serve, their success rates, and their overall willingness to take on difficult tasks and provide services to those in need.

This week, we are featuring our partnership with the Urban League of Lexington. The Urban League of Lexington focuses on assisting African American and disadvantaged citizens achieve social and economic equality. They offer several programs in job training, education, computer skills, housing, community development and advocacy.

On Monday, October 21st, the Urban League of Lexington will be holding their annual empowerment banquet, Empowered to Dream, at the Lexington Center in downtown Lexington. This program is the League's biggest fundraising event of the year and will celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the 2013 Individual and Corporate Diversity Award winners and the 2013 Community Service Award winners.

We're so excited to be a part of this wonderful organization. To join us in sponsorship with the Urban League of Lexington, or to reserve tickets for the dinner, visit their website at www.ullexfay.org.
